Approvals
Everything else in this documentation is about content the space already holds. Approvals is the opposite: somebody wants training that is not in the catalogue, and asks for it.
What approvals are good for
Section titled “What approvals are good for”Most training in a company comes from the space’s catalogue. Every so often, though, someone needs a course from outside: a certification, a conference, training from the machine’s manufacturer. Without a shared place such a request travels by e-mail, and the overview of what the company is planning for training is pieced together from spreadsheets.
Where the approvals list helps:
- A course that is not in the catalogue. A technician wants a two-day course with an outside provider. She files a request with Přidat and it appears in the list with the provider, the price and the date it takes place. Whoever decides has everything on one row and does not have to ask around by e-mail.
- Training spend in one place. The finance director wants to see, before the quarter ends, everything the company is about to pay for outside training. The Cena (v Kč) column shows it for each request, and the columns with a funnel in their heading narrow the list. The amounts are not collected from e-mails.
- Two dates, two questions. Datum konání says when the person will be away from work; Datum vytvoření, how long the request has been waiting. The list is sorted by filing, so you can see which requests came in when.
The list therefore does two things at once: it records who wants to study what, and how much it will cost. What filing a request asks for, and who may approve one, is not documented yet; see below.
The screen

- (2) Zrušit filtry clears the filters; several columns filter individually, marked by the funnel in their heading.
- (3) Eight columns describe a request: who asked, the type, the course name or topic, the provider, Cena (v Kč), when it takes place, when it was filed, and its state.
What the columns say about the feature
Section titled “What the columns say about the feature”There is a price column and a provider column. Approvals is about training bought from outside, so the thing being approved is spending as much as learning.
Datum konání and Datum vytvoření are separate — when the training happens and when somebody asked for it — and the list is sorted by the latter.
What to watch for
Section titled “What to watch for”The list here is genuinely empty — Nic nenalezeno with no refused request behind it, unlike the empty states in a personal space.
