Your profile
Every other guide here is for someone administering a space. This one is for everybody: you open it from the menu under your name in the top right, with the item Můj profil, and it is where you change what the space knows about you.
What your profile is good for
Section titled “What your profile is good for”The other guides are for administrators. The profile is your screen: it is where you change what the space knows about you, and it earns its place when something changes on your side rather than the organisation’s.
- You have a new surname after your wedding. On the Osobní údaje tab you rewrite the Celé jméno field, say from “Eva Dvořáková” to “Eva Nováková”, and press Uložit změny. From then on the space knows you by the right name, and you did not have to ask anyone.
- You replace your photo yourself. You have a new company photo. You click the pencil by the photo on the left and upload it. The note under the photo recommends “šířka 240px, výška 240px, 150 dpi”, so prepare it at that size beforehand. Nobody has to do it for you.
- IT asks everyone to change their password after an incident. The password is changed on the Změnit heslo tab, beside the other details, not on a separate screen under a security heading. You do not lose time hunting for where passwords are changed.
- You have moved to another site, and the organisation requires it. On the Povinné údaje v organizaci tab you pick the new one in the Pracoviště field, say “Výroba 2”. Which fields appear there was decided by an administrator in user details; you only bring them up to date here so the space has the current picture.
What each tab holds and who it belongs to is what the rest of the page explains.
The screen
Section titled “The screen”
- (1) The tabs Osobní údaje, Povinné údaje v organizaci, Autorské údaje v organizaci and Změnit heslo.
- (2) Your photo sits on the left, with a pencil to replace it. Under it stands the recommendation “Doporučený rozměr: šířka 240px, výška 240px, 150 dpi”.
- (3) The Celé jméno field, holding “Eva Dvořáková” in the screenshot. Below it is the E-mail field, holding “uzivatel@priklad.cz”.
The Uložit změny button appears on a tab only once you change something on it, which is why the screenshot does not show it.
The tabs are three different owners
Section titled “The tabs are three different owners”Osobní údaje are yours. Povinné údaje v organizaci are the ones the space requires — the switches on user details decide which appear here. Autorské údaje v organizaci apply if you write content.
The Povinné údaje v organizaci tab can hold the fields Vaše datum narození, Vaše ID, Pracoviště and Pracovní pozice, each only when the organisation requires it. Choosing Vlastní in Pracoviště or Pracovní pozice adds a Vlastní pracoviště or Vlastní pozice field below it for a name of your own. The Supervizor field only shows who manages you and cannot be changed here.
In a private space the Povinné údaje v organizaci tab is missing and the profile has only three tabs.
The Autorské údaje v organizaci tab holds a single field, Medailonek.
Změnit heslo is a tab here, not a separate screen, and sits beside the details rather than under a security heading. You fill in Nové heslo and Nové heslo znovu pro kontrolu. Your current password is not asked for.
What to watch for
Section titled “What to watch for”A person’s name and e-mail live in this form’s field values rather than in its rendered text. That is invisible to anything reading the page as text, which is worth knowing for anyone scripting against this screen.
